Having a commissioned portrait in your home is sure to bring joy every time you walk past and glimpse the custom art piece created just for you.
I love creating portraits because it's an art form over 5,000 years old and prior to the creation of the camera, it was the only way we would know who the greats throughout history would look like. Also there's magic taking a mundane photo and turning it into something so wondrous.

LET'S DIVE IN
I create two different types of portraits depending on what the client prefers:
Traditional style, which captures the essence of the subject and makes them stand out on a simple background, & Whimsical style, which is more story telling based around the subject of choice. This can be immersing them in their favorite past times, or capturing and enhancing a memory caught on a poor cell phone image.

TRADITIONAL
I love traditional portraiture because it's all about the beauty of the subject. Capturing an exact moment or likeness in time. I use simplified backgrounds to make them pop without distraction.
Typically white, grey, or black is chosen by the client.
*If you'd like a custom background, I review each on a case by case basis for pricing, but I can recreate entire photographs if desired.

WHIMSICAL
Crafting a work of art that is completely unique, attention grabbing, and thought provoking is where I like to play. Creating your artwork
Contact me for current turn around times as it depends on size, background, and what commissions I currently have in the works. The actual drawing of pieces usually take me under 3 weeks to complete.
Shipping
Shipping within the continental US is a flat $25.00 unless expedited shipping is requested.
International shipping charges are case by case so please contact me for a quote.
All works are shipped unframed unless requested by client for additional charge.
Down payment to start.
There is a 20% deposit to start commissions larger than 8"x10", the fee is deducted from the final costs. Clients are guaranteed approval of the outline and can request work in progress shots as desired to track the final portrait.
